2016 May–June – San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL
Presenting innovative projects focused on increasing human awareness and understanding, the San Francisco International Arts Festival celebrates the arts by bringing together a global community of artists and audiences.
The show (renamed) Single Point Perspective was presented for a month-long run in the intimate context of the Fort Mason Chapel in San Francisco, making use of the acoustics and sacred history of the chapel. New additions included live music, a post-show conversation with the audience moderated by Ayodele Nzinga, PhD, and a fancy new easel featuring a six-foot square panel and an internal pivot for the final reveal.
Charlie Levin also represented The One Truthiness in a panel discussion with renowned artists Amikaeyla Gaston, Jon Jang, Genevieve Lim, and Dr. Anthony Brown, addressing the movement for Black lives and discussing their work and the role of the artist within broader socio-political movements; moderated by former leading member of the Black Panther Party, Ericka Huggins.
